T R U S T

I have been neglecting this little space for a few weeks. It's not that I haven't thought of it, or of you, but I have struggled to bring myself to type anything lately. In the overwhelm of life right now I have felt as though there's no way out it at times. "This is how it'll always be", what ever "it" and "always" may mean. But I keep coming back to this word-- a word I don't particularly like-- T R U S T. Because when someone says "trust Him" to me, I feel as if they are peering into my heart and seeing it's untrusting state. How do you know I'm not trusting? I'm defensive and frightened. And then I began to think, trust L O O K S like something. It may look like different things in different situations, but it has a manifestation that others can see at least dimly. And for all my fear, i W A N T to trust God. Trust in His timing, plans, faithfulness, love. So I'm going to take a journey in trust, studying what it looks like in scripture for those who do and do not trust God. So for some accountability, I'll be sharing here about it and if you struggle to trust God too at times then let's journey together. // “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.
