I laughed to myself as I read the devotional I wrote today. I talked about present procrastinators (which I am guilty of yet again this year) and the stress that came come this week in particular. Sometimes the week of Christmas feels the least restoring in all of Advent. Family tensions can rise. Sadness can seep deeper. Wendell Berry once said, "it gets darker, and darker, and darker, and then Jesus is born". It's been somewhat of a dark world for us this year, and it's seemed to have gotten progressively dark as its gone on. Christ came for those moments. He came to save us from that which we cannot save ourselves. He came to bring light to the darkness.
