I'm posting this photo as a part of the #risingtidechallenge this week (really cool thing, check out the hashtag!). Let's be real: I never post photos of myself (at least that aren't 2+ decades old). I've never been a photo person; when digital cameras came out, I cringed at the idea that you could instantly see yourself and how you look in real time. But I'm also tired of shying away, of avoiding mirrors and ducking photos out of fear. I'm fearfully and wonderfully made, and my image is a reflection of God's work, and I do believe in #graceoverperfect. here I am, posting a recent photo and not being ashamed about it either. I'm also supposed to share 5 things about myself, so here goes:1) I went to 9 different schools from Kinder to 12th grade.2) i used to give motivational speeches to myself (and my shoes) in my closet as a kid.3)i majored in American Studies in college because it allowed me to take any course that vaguely related to America (Southern Foods, anyone?!). 4) I grew up thinking I would work in politics one day.5) I am entirely self-taught when it comes to lettering, art and design, and I wouldn't have it any other way!
