Beginning to package up #RESTOREAdvent calendars + devos and I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. The world seems like such a scary place right now. I'm so blessed to live in such safety, but there's so much sadness all around. Tonight at dinner, a car engine backfired, and for a second it sounded like a gunshot. And it hit me: there are people, kids that my friends teach, mothers living a world away, who live in danger daily, who hear sounds and see things I could never imagine, situations I feel helpless to change, and all I can do is pray "come, Lord Jesus". There's a beautiful quote by Wendell Berry as told to Anne Lammott, and he said "it gets darker and darker and darker, and then Jesus is born". December can be a rough month for so many people. But I am holding fast to the fact that He is coming, and is the only one who can really restore our broken world. If you still want to join in on this Advent adventure, I have a few more sets left. I will be selling them tomorrow at a pop up shop in The Woodlands from 1-3 at 3333 S. Panther Creek Dr. If you don't live here, you can order online via nancypage.etsy.com. Any orders placed by midnight tonight will arrive by the first day of Advent.
