There's a lot of fear on the news lately. And there are scary things happening, many worthy of prudent caution. But there are also a lot of other people, real people, who have suffered in ways we in our comfortable homes will never know. We do not have perfect love; imperfect love is at best what we can muster most days. But I know the One who does, who calls us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. So let's sacrifice our fear at the foot of the Cross, and attempt to dimly recognize how deep and vast and wide his perfect love is for all.
